ٌResearch + Development project ( Clansy Construction)

This is a real life project that Clancy Construction brought to AT3 Studio to see the power of BIM technology and how it is effective in real time. It is an integrated project between schools where (Hons) Construction Management and Engineering, and Quantity surveyor were involved in. Clancy Construction gave us project worth 9million euro and recommended 9 Weeks approximately for the assignment to be done. The lecturer assign each student work individually in his own project. But at same time they divided us into groups to use different system in each group. The Constructions people went to site, do a survey using a ‘total station’, and they had to-ken about 500 point in the site.

 

To provide us with an actual contours line from the site. On the other hand, QS had been divided into groups and took a BIM model that we produce and do quantity surveying to have an estimated figure from the project. Myself, I was assign to use Cast in-suit for the structure and50mm Cavity wall for the wall. Plus, use 3 different material for the finishing. Therefore, I chose an aluminium cladding + 12mmgab curtain wall for the glazing part + Wood finishing for ceramic tiles for some others parts and rain screen structure used for the façade to hold all different type of material that been assign to the building.

 

At the end of the 9 weeks. I was one of seven people who did a presentation to John O’Shaughnessy and his lads from Clancy Construction. In addition, there were many others people from others Institutions and architect firms. See the photos on the side.

G-Pod 

Kildalton Project

Kildalton is a project belong to Teagsc the agriculture college.This project will became a part Bessborough House"château style"which known as Canadian form of architecture.However,it is located as I said in Kildonton Argicultural College estate has acted as the headquarters for Agriculture Science for many decades Nobody is building this type of building anymore here in Ireland. Therefore it become a challenging to make a decision for a protected structure. See how BIM influence the decision

Summer time is a time of festivals. This project was about designing a Glamming Pod. It was a collaborative between all years students of architectural technologist, where it was a good for them to do and learn from a quick session and it has a very technical aspect where many details keep pop-up the whole way. However, it worth to mansion that this project was the winner between the 10 competitive groups

Design a new building in the Merchant Quay, Waterford

Here are an Architectural drawing, Structure drawing, GAs, Fire Drawing, Mechanical drawings and some renders.

The task of this project was to demolish the old building and rebuild it with new design layout to be a multi use building design and it need to make it more modern and atractive as posible, but with take into the consideration of city view. However, it was require to think of the structure solution and the material use which lead to think of the details in more intinsive way. 

 

Also, It need to provide a drawing that shows how the new building will look like in turm of the context of the city

Residence-Brahmsquartier -Understanding Architectureal 

Here is one of my analysis of architectural project; Student need to take any building has a great architecture aspect to analyse and give your personal ideas to understand how actually the architecture think when he design this building. So, my chose was a winner project of a great architecture practise in Hamburg.

 

The ensemble provides continuity between the fragmented nature of the course and the neighboring district office building. By the arrangement of two solitary buildings, spaces and places were created. The two residential buildings are treated as objects on the triangular open space between the office building on the former extension of the area “Springer-Verlag” and the “Gängeviertel”.
